John has been involved in the
music industry for over four decades starting with bands in
Adelaide, while still attending college and then
criss-crossing Australia as part of Country Music Shows and
as a ‘one-man’ entertainer.
A stop-over in Tamworth one
year saw John receive an award as a finalist in the annual
Star Maker Quest.
In 1981 John toured with the
legendary ‘Rick & Thel Country Music Show’.
John took great pleasure in
bringing his music to isolated communities and the arrival
of the travelling coach is still remembered by many members
of those communities.
After many years on the road
John followed his heart and settled in Port Lincoln, South
Australia. From this base John enjoyed bringing his style of
Cabaret and Country Music to venues all over the Eyre
Peninsula.
After taking a break from live
entertainment John picked up the guitar and stepped back on
stage in North Queensland in 2014. Finding he still has the
passion to play music, John continues to entertain as a
guest artist at Country Music Shows and charity events.
Over the years John has
continued to write lyrics and music and his latest album
“Past & Present” features six evergreen favourites along
with six of his own songs. This new album was recorded at
Lindsay Butler Studios in Tamworth with legendary producer
Lindsay Butler OAM at the helm and is now proudly released
by LBS Music Australia.
This album showcases John’s
particular style of music; Country ballads sung with ‘Heart
& Soul’.
